Did you know Margo Wheeler?

First and foremost Margo loved God and her family. She made us all feel like family.

2011, Women's Council National President & 2017, Washington Realtor's President.

These are just two of the many leadership roles Margo held during her almost 30 year real estate career. She loved her real estate family and spent much of her journey as a long time member of and leader in the Women's Council of Realtors. She was a member of Washington's Tacoma-Pierce Network. Margo served 20 years in the United States Military before getting into Real Estate. She set an example for all both in business and in life. One of Margo's family members said it best, "She was our Michelle O'bama."

Did Margo impact your life in some way?

Here in Washington State, Margo impacted almost every single REALTOR®. She is nationally known for her many roles, including most recently NAR's Vice President. But even more than the leadership roles she held, it was her huge loving heart and the many friendships she made along her journey. It was how she greeted everyone with the warmest, "Hello, Friend!" She made everyone feel special and important. She mentored anyone who would listen. Many of us called on her during our most difficult leadership challenges. She always made herself available.

In 2019, Washington State Women's Council created The Margo Wheeler Path to Leadership Grant. The intention was to honor Margo's incredible legacy and also to encourage & assist current volunteer leaders on their journey to the next level of leadership. Unfortunately, and to the devastation of many, Margo gained her angel wings in January 2023. She continued giving of herself despite her personal challenges. She blessed everyone she came in contact with.
